Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect?

At the beginning of our session, we'll take a few minutes to discuss your goals. I'll provide an overview of reflexology and then we'll customize the session based on your goals. Sessions may include reflexology of the face, hands and/or feet, along with ortho-bionomy and energy healing. You'll be fully clothed, lying face-up on a comfortable massage table for the session.

How should I prepare for my first reflexology session?

Complete this intake form and bring it with you to your appointment. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and remove any make-up if you would like to include facial reflexology (which I highly recommend!).

Does reflexology tickle or hurt?

Enough people have asked this over the years that it's worth addressing!! I've never had a client report that reflexology tickles or hurts. I use firm pressure, along with specific techniques, to palpate along the reflexive zones. Reflexologists are trained to work WITH the anatomy - meaning, we use lighter pressure in sensitive areas so it should never be painful.

How should I care for myself after the session?

Reflexology is deeply detoxifying, so it's important to hydrate after your session. Epsom salt baths can be helpful to further remove toxins from and soothe the body. Your body will tell you what it needs - you may feel like resting after the session, or you may feel completely invigorated. Give yourself permission to rest if need be.
